| | Pay the Fare: Elvis usually plays an "Everyman" role in his movies and Blue Seattle is no exception. This time he's a taxi driver. He spies an attractive "fare" waiting for a ride and boasts in song about his prowess with the ladies. He gives her a ride and somehow, we just know that love is in the air. However, she does not appreciate his come on and stiffs him for the cab fare. Elvis vows to find her and make her pay. | |
| | | Blue Seattle Clip (1986): One long rainy weekend, Ann, Nancy and Cameron wrote and recorded these songs for a fictitious Elvis movie called "Blue Seattle." (Inspired by the real-life Elvis flick "Blue Hawaii') Nancy recorded the tracks on a portable 4-track cassette deck, using a cheesy drum/synth machine. Cameron sings the part of Elvis. Ann and Nancy are the musicians and enthusiastic background singers.
Blue Seattle Intro - The credits: we are soaring over scenes of the The Northwest. Forests, lakes and mountains. Now we swoop down over Seattle.
Look, there's the Space Needle. And the music has...well...a distinctly Hawaiian flair. | |
| | Ann and Nancy Playing Blues: Ann and Nancy were in their early teens when they recorded this blues piece. | |
